Spinning Chick - 5 days old

Perfect! Thank you! Is it safe to give to all the chicks from this hatch and the mama too at this dose? She's so tiny and gets really stressed when she's separated from the others.

Yes...for a couple of days...then go to normal dose.

If baby is deficient, almost certainly the rest are close to being so, and momma as well. Vitamin deficiencies are usually passed on in the egg, which of course comes from the flock.

I would check your feed to make sure it is fresh and a complete feed. You can and should feed momma and babies the chick start.

Good luck. Let us know how it progresses.

Thank you! She didn't lay these eggs, I purchased them from a local breeder.
I'm definitely going to buy a different kind of feed tomorrow. I can't risk this happening to everyone else too.
Thank you again!!! Your information and links have been most helpful. I'll update soon, hopefully with good news.

*UPDATE*
I got the baby vitamin drops and have been giving two drops/day and giving concentrated save a chick electrolytes by syringe. The chick still can’t eat or drink. It spins but also moves its head back and forth while it’s still. The best way I can describe it is nystagmus of its head. It’s so weird.
So, I can keep it hydrated but I can’t give it food. Any ideas? I’ve placed the food crumbles by his head and also offered chopped parsley and brewers yeast flakes. It’s not interested in anything and appears to be sleepier than normal chicks.
Please help! I love this little fluff nugget!

*FINAL UPDATE*
I came home today to find the chick dead in the brooder. I don’t really know what that means. Maybe it was a head injury. I don’t know. It’s been a rough day here. I lost four chicks overnight to a raccoon who pulled them through the wire on the coop. It’s never easy having chicks.

Sorry you lost the spinner. It was probably for the best. Sometimes chicks don't survive. Better be sure to racoon proof the pen! I sadly lost 4 hens to a racoon.
