Steel tried to stay out of it. He walked them over to the river and helped Sugar and Light get in.

Sugar hooped into the water and got in. She flinched a little as the water clean the wound, making it sting a tiny bit.

Somehow the men found Frost and quietly roped her and took her away. Frost didn't care anymore she just lowered her head. The men took her to the barn and locked her in a stall. Frost was wondering why they had not killed her only hurt her but she remembered her rare breed and knew they would not want to kill a rare horse like her they just wanted to hurt her.

(why would humans damage a horse if it was a rare breed? the assumption would be that they would keep the horse in good condition so they can sell it for heaps or breed it and sell the offspring...?)
