Bird flu is in Illinois too. Although no cases in our county, 200 double-crested cormorants were found dead in a forest preserve - about 30 miles away.

Yes, slate.

The slate leg color comes in slowly on the chamois... but as adults they have slate.

I haven't ever had silver spangled, but the gold spangled are hatched with slate legs, or mostly slate, then darken to full slate.

Then hatch a bunch of boys out of him... and eat him. Hopefully one of his sons will look as good, but have a better temperament.

Human aggressive chickens are horrid.
