Anyone here cross breed them? Curious how the crosses turned out- did they keep their mohawks?? :-D

I have a couple of Spitzen-Eggers in the incubator. I hope they hatch! It would be cool to have a crested Easter Egger that laid green eggs, like her mama! Daddy is Hans, mommy is Blue Girl.

The crests can stay.... not sure on the genetics...they are usually smaller.

Here's my sweet hen, "Oopsie." She's an exceptional broody!

Oopsie hatched a few eggs & then adopted all my incubator chicks as well. I already had a few older chicks & 2 quail in the brooder when I added Oopsie. She immediately adopted them too. 21 total chicks tonight, but the number is gradually decreasing as they get sold. Wide age range from 5+ wks down to 2 weeks but they are all HERS.

I like how the 5+ week old Spitz pokes out her head from under mama's wing. Also all the little feet under her.

Interesting how different the 3 are...fun to watch them mature.

Group shot left to right, Sulmtaler Weeble, Spitzhauben Markie and behind Markie's tail is Zelda Spitzhauben. Weeble and Markie are the same age. Unbelievable how different the growth rates are between these two breeds. Markie has grown much faster and feathered out faster. I am pretty sure Markie is a roo and Weeble and Zelda are girls. I won't mind if I am wrong about Markie. He is a character!
