I'm thinking about buying some peafowl and I have the choice between spalding pied and purple pied which is better in your opinion

Just as KsKingBee said, it's up to you. Just some wise words from Johnny Depp, pick the second option. If you truly liked the first option than you wouldn't have wanted the second option. Or you could get a Spalding Pied peacock and a Purple Pied hen or the exact opposite.

Some Spaulding blood will brighten the colors and in most cases add even more color.

If it were me, Id get both if I had that option but, the spaulding will always be in demand because of its lineage, the green blood makes them more appealing for sure. Kinda like power windows in a truck,
