Roses, would that be Ameraucana rooster over Leghorn hens? (Still getting acquainted w the terminology).

Ahh, do you mean if the order indicates gender? As far as I'm aware it does not.
I first wrote it as Leghorn x Ameraucana, but had the thought that I like Ameraucana better so I put them first.

In reality, the mix I made was an Am roo over Leg hens. (no idea if "Leg" is ok)

I should not be relieved upon for terminology exactness. And I might mix them around anyway to resist sexism. Lol

Sexism, hexism! I thought there was a "standard" way of expressing it so everyone would just automatically know which was the rooster and which was the hen. Conventions and all that. And there you go, bein' all independent and all. Wait, were you a hippie in a former life?

Mom and I got hippie flower ornaments for our hats this summer and stood in crowds with others in hippy getups playing songs on our boom box like "For What it's Worth". I had a middle aged trio of ladies come up to me saying they forgot how much they loved the song and made me play it twice while they danced around, I felt like we'd gone back in time.
So I can be really confident in saying... I totally would have been a hippie!

Guilty! Minus the pot though. Catholic school convinced us (some of us) it was a gateway drug to terrible things that would cause us to have horribly maimed and disfigured babies, so I wouldn't touch the stuff. But the hip-huggers, the bell-bottoms, the long, smooth hair, the music, oh yeah, def part of all that scene. Groovy, Baby, lol. And peace. Definitely Peace.
