Post pics of your splash or blue chicks and then show a pic of them as an adult kind of like a before and after picture. I know splashes look sooo different as chicks.

Hi! This is a splash barred:

I'll add a chick pic soon as I can get one loaded.

I think the thing I like best is that not only their colors change dramatically from hatch to feather but with Sizzles, you just don't know at this point in breed development what is going to crop up. Vino and Sheridan and Gin in particular were fairly surprising. Reposado and Aris were hens I kept to use. I kept the Splash Roo Whiskey as the sire.

I also kept Sheridan to produce a line of Brown Red Sizzles, he's actualy a brown red with a demelanizer that makes his feathers appear blue. And the first two birchens from him are on the ground now. One a gold/silver split and the other normal silver birchen, one demelanized the other on black. Now I pray they're hens...

Blue Black and Splash is just so much fun to tinker with.
Sizzles provide additional fun.

I am intrigued by BBS, too, and am hoping for a splash eventually- my 5 BBS Orp pullets are too young for anything yet, but here are my blues:

I have posted these pics in the Orp threads, so sorry if I am redundant:
