Splash feather footed marans?

I was sold these on Friday and they were sold as Splash/Blue Marans. The pullet and cockerel both have feathered feet. They are 8 months old and she is not laying yet. Could you please help me identify. The wheaten color on the male has me concerned they are not splashes.

That other color on the rooster probably means he came from Copper Black, Wheaten, or Copper Black (carrying Wheaten) lines. No biggie. If she starts laying and her eggs are dark, feel free to contact me when you get ready to sell/ship some eggs. I would be honored to "test hatch" some for you too!!! Nice looking birds.

What color are the roos legs?

The roos legs are yellowish and the hens are more of a blueish color. They are both feathered.

yellow.. not a marans color... do you know what color eggs they came from or who originally produced/bred those two? Where did the seller get them from?

The legs is what got me worried. He said they were from e-bay eggs. In the hatch he got 5 cuckoo and these two splashes. So far they are not laying yet and he said that he hatched them almost 8 months ago.

PS is there a site I can find out what color of legs and earlobes a particular breed should have?

Oh, I am so disappointed I wanted a maran pair so badly. I guess I will keep searching.

Does the girl look like she is pure?

If he is a mix is there any way I will know what the babies will look like? Also, is there anyway I will know what kind he is mixed with? He is very gentle with the girls and they kinda just squat for him where my other roos rip hunks of feathers from their necks and they screech and holler everytime the roos come around. I think I might keep the mut.
