I have a 2 1/2 month old Splash Polish hen, she is so loud. It's not chirping or sweet little sounds that a hen makes. It's like an all out screeching sound. She's well taken care of has everything she needs, but still makes that screeching sound at least 30 times a day. Is it a Polish thing? Any ideas? She looks exactly like the picture, couldn't get a good pic of her today. Same appearance exactly.

So the appearance of the picture I posted is a Cockeral?

At 10 weeks old... yes.

Polish ladies have a nice short bob, while the stags crest will get more shoulder length.

Most females will not red up that soon. Pink yes, red no.

And last but most significant... if they are coming in by now saddle feathers of most (not all) breeds are significantly different between genders...

I can see them in the pic you posted. But please feel free to post a pic of your chick for confirmation!

I have not YET had any of my hens make the screeching sound that boys do. But one of my hens does crow, so it isn't without possibility. :) :fl
