I've seen Bl/Bl lav/lav that looked nice. I would ask the question of why she/he considers it lavender splash, but lav has been bred into many blue and splash silkies. IMO, if one is calling it lavender splash, it does need to carry two copies of both genes.

I have no idea what the genes are. I won her as an egg. As she gets older she has a few darker feathers grow in. She started out as lavender. As she has gotten a bit older a feather here and there will come in a bit darker shade. I was told to call that a lavender splash. I'm no expert by any means. So what do you all call her? She is mixed with Frizzle, Sillkie, Cochin, Bantam and Birchen. Thats waht the person told me when I sent a pic of her when she was younger and just getting some feathers stand up on her head. It looked like a mohawk. lol

That is the way splash colouring typically develops. Unless you know that she also carries two copies of lavender, I would not say lavender splash. If you know she carries one copy of lavender, you could say that she is splash split to lavender.
