Splay leg? Am I doing Tx right?

Here are two short videos ( 20 --30 seconds) of the chick that hatched last night. He came out of the egg like this. I used a band aid to old his legs in a more correct position. Did I do it right? Also is am I right in guessing this is a barred rock and a roo?

He is able to stand up now but is very wobbly!
