Okay. That looks like a slipped tendon to me.

Try and straighten his leg. If it will not straighten, and the back of the knee is flat, he has a slipped tendon. That will need to be fixed immediately, because after a certain amount of time, it cannot be fixed.

You need to fix this as soon as possible, unless you're willing to put him down.

thank you for helping me. i truly appreciate the help.
We did try and straighten it / pull it down earlier but not all the way to make the knee straight. we will try this again.
again, i really really appreciate you guys ❤️

You're welcome.

There are videos on Youtube of how to fix a slipped tendon, which are probably better than any verbal description I could give you. Sometimes, straightening the leg is all you need to do, but that's when it's very fresh. This is not. It's going to be swollen, and the tendon is not going to want to go back in. Or stay in. I had success using ice to bring down swelling once.

If you've seen pictures of chick cups--like a play disc for chicks--that would also help aid his recovery. You may have to brace that leg straight for a day or so to keep that tendon where it's supposed to be until he heals enough to hold it there on his own.

I had a couple chicks who were floppy, one chick I waited until I had chicks that were younger so he didn't have to compete with chicks his own age...he cured himself.

And the next one I kept her next to me for a day or two, and made sure if she ever flipped over, I up righted her, it took work but it made a diff in the end.

She is to the left, I eventually gave her to these chicks one week younger.
