I had 3 splayed legs my second hatch ever. I felt so bad for them. I used yarn and the second I put it on and got their legs closer together they were running around. I left them on for about 3-5 days and separated them together in a small box with their own water, food and heat lamp also had one "runt" that was getting run around in the bigger brooder.
They all fit right in with the other chicks of the same age as soon as brace was off for a day and I was sure they were comfortable on their own feet and healthy.
