A day or two ago i hatched out 10 beautiful little silkie chicks, and noticed one of them has a minor case of splayed legs. He cannot stand properly and was wondering your methods of treating and fixing this?
This isn't my first hatching btw:p I've hatched chicks with splayed leg before but unfortunately have been unsuccessful in fixing the problem. Any suggestions appreciated!

There are a ways to try and correct it. There are a lot of articles here on BYC about it and many have great pictures and good instructions. I thought it would be easier to just put the link to some of the articles here rather than to try and describe some of the treatments. Also, make sure that the chicks are on a non-skid, non-slip surface so they’re able to keep their feet underneath them. Here is the link. Good luck!
