Well I got three new babies last week. On day two the Exchequer Leghorn was limping, pulling one leg out to the side and holding up the foot.
On the internet I go and diagnose splayed leg. Immediately try to hobble her with a band aid. Not too easy but accomplished. Next day no improvement in fact she seemed worse, leg extended out even more when I removed the brace. Then I used the straw and rubber band method. Had to adjust the band so that her legs weren't too far apart to make her legs straight. She has been able to walk around well, eat and drink. Her leg seems to be getting stronger and in a better position.
Hopefully little Lucky will make a full recovery. I have enclosed a picture since there were few out there but lots of sites have instructions.
