Splayed Legs...how long to keep band-aid on?

I have a chick that hatched with splayed legs, i was wondering how long to keep the band-aid splint on?
It's working very well and he runs around like crazy & does fine with it but i don't wanna have his legs bound forever.

Sometimes they are fine after a day or two. Remove it for a short while, making sure he has good traction and see how he does. If not , reapply and try again in a few days.
