Splayed Legs? Or Bone / Tendon Deformity?

I have a almost 3 week old cream legbar chick that is having a lot of problems with his legs. He had got stuck in the shell for over 24 hours so I did help him out , however since he was born I noticed that he had something wrong with his legs. I thought it was splayed leg at first so I have been using vet wrap to keep them together as the brace but it's been over 2 weeks now and it seems to be getting worse and not better :hmm I'm thinking now it might be a bone or tendon deformity. Is there anything I can do for him? Id rather not cull if I don't have to as he is eating and drinking, and his feathers are all growing in beautifully so he is healthy in every other aspect. Is there different brace I should be using to help position the leg better? or is it a loss cost? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :(.

It kind of looks like a slipped tendon with the swollen hock, but it could be a leg bone deformity, such as valgus deformity in the right leg as the hen below:
