Thanks for all the advice! I'll leave the brace on tonight and see how he is tomorrow.

How is he today? I know you are not really interested in the cup method, but if you were going to use it, a clear glass or heavy plastic cup is usually the best. That way it is too heavy for the chick to tip over, too tall for it to escape from, and transparent so you can keep an eye on it.

He seems to be doing better. Just took off the brace and he holds his foot under him better but still hobbles. Giving him a break and then I'll put it back on tonight. Also I tried the cup method and he just flipped upside down or the bad leg was bent out and upwards worse so I took him out. I'll try while he's braced, but then I'm not sure if he's even strengthening himself that way
