It{s called Xylitol.

It actually stops dental caries... kills strep mutañs... the cause of dental caries.

Xylitol can be toxic to pets. I use Erythritol.

Vitamin Cottage carries Erythritol for $7/lb. There is also an Erythritol blend out now called Natur that sells at Sam's for $1.78/lb. It does contain cane juice, but Erythritol is the main ingredient. I don't use sugar because of health issues.
