I'm making a chicken pen using 4X4 post sunk 30 inches in the ground every 4 ft. Center of one post is 4 ft to the next post center. I'm runing the 4 ft wide, 1X2 inch fence verticle between the post. I have one section that is 10 ft wide. I would like to set a post in the middle with 5 ft on each side. I do have a top cross piece (2X4) and a center rail (2X4) going all the way around, except this 10 ft section. Is there a way to securely attach 2, 4 ft wide, 1X2 fences together? Do they make clips or something for this purpose? I don't think I what to use wire for this. Any ideas out there? Thanks.

They make cage clips and cage clip pliers that are available at any feed store, and I think TSC carries them. It's like $10 bucks for both. OR why can't you take the wire and cut it so the wire sticks out and you can match the wire up and wrap the ends of the wire around the other piece of wire? I can't explain what I'm trying to say, but have done it many times when repairing fence.

Dah, I see what you two mean. That'll work fine and dandy. I was trying my best to make it difficult I guess. There are raccoons in the area and I need it as secure as possible. I'm putting a grounded electric fence near the top. Solar charged. Fence is alos going a foot in the ground. We've got hawks so we're putting netting across the top. Thanks.
