Splinting whole leg

Any suggestions on how to split a whole chickens leg? My girl injured her self and when she walks he leaves her leg out. She will rest on it but not stand

Oh dear...I have never had to splint a leg - this is the only info I have on splinting, so hopefully someone else will chime in.

After splinting, some people also use a chicken sling to help them recover. Some chickens do o.k. in a sling (monitored) but some won't accept it. These images give you the basic concept, but if you google for "chicken sling" images you will find a lot of creative ideas.
