Have you ever hatched a chick that looked like this on the belly?
I have no idea what to do!

She seems fine in every other way!

I don’t know what to do.

What would you do!?

Wow, it does look like her belly got cut open.
I would maybe try to stitch it or super glue it shut? I'm sure culling will be suggested, but you can try giving her a chance if she seems ok. Don't expect too much though, she could quit at any time.

Also, I would put her on a clean towel instead of wood chips. If she gets anything inside of her belly she'll die from infection.

I did! She happened to be first one I pulled out. Thought about immediately culling, but she was walking around, went to the food. I’m shocked! So I moved her to a space with a towel inside the brooder, but separate.

It looks like it may be closing up. So I don’t know what happened! 🤭

It does look like that! I just don’t understand how that would happen in the incubator! I’ll have to really look it over after everyone is out!

I’ll see how she’s doing in the morning after a round of nutra-drench.

I wish you luck!!! You'll want to try to close it up in some way. I'm glad she's doing so well though! Keep us posted please!!!
