Wow my birds love them and the turkeys too so just what is the protein % So I'm feeding sprouted wheat ,oats and BOSS kinda like 6 parts wheat 2 parts oats 1 part BOSS I mixed peas in with their mash that's 17% and I treat with a Rooster mix of whole grains that is 17% I'm waiting for my Austrian peas they are on order. I still need to try the alfalfa pellets but those will have to be in the sprouts they don't like pellets and the stores don't carry meal and those are 15%.....I don't have any green stuff until Nov/Dec so I'm trying to have a easy balanced feed and the birds are doing very well with the new feed with bigger eggs and not acting starved all the time they never looked bad but craved any kind of seeds..now they check out the food and eat well but no more always begging for more unless it's bread but that's a treat....They will trample each other for the sprouts every pen has those cleaned up in 30 minutes or less.

When I googled peas (I feed the split ones to my chickens too) I found them to be 24.5%. But keep in mind that several websites can give you several different answers when it comes to protein percentages.

But that is what I use for my Pearson's Square and Kim's Rectangle.

Here's my list of ingredients I am currently using (calculated to 17% protein for my pullets):

alfalfa meal (I haven't yet opened the bag)
oats
hard red wheat
millet
sun. seeds
pumpkin seeds
cracked corn
DE -just a little
kelp meal- just a little
split peas
peanuts

salt free choice
grit free choice
soon-to-be-oyster shell free choice

There are several kinds of peas and these are for sprouting maybe easier for me to get...I found a sprouting mix that was Austrian peas, oats and sunflower seeds...but spendy at the mill they were figuring it and even they said no wonder I was looking for the components to make my own. Austrian peas are small yellowish ones chickens are supposed to like them soon I'll know but so far my chickens are pigs and eat everything.
