Hi,

I've just been inspecting my little 8 week old Orpingtons and think one may have split wing. Can anybody please advise? It doesn't matter as the person I'm raising them for wouldn't be too bothered if it did have split wing, I'm just curious more than anything.

Thanks for any comments :).

What I am seeing is a space between the primary and secondary flight feathers. That is what you can often see when you stretch out the wing when bird has a missing feather. or curved feather hidden feather. I tried counting them, but I'm not sure of my count. Unless your showing I wouldn't worry.

They won't be shown, so as I said I'm not bothered about it, I was more curious as to whether this is what you'd be seeing if you were looking for split wing. So you'd be missing a feather when counting then if the chook did have split wing?

Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it :).
