Spot on her beak.

Hello all!

When I let my girls out this morning I noticed this weird looks spot on just one of their beaks? She seems fine as she was eating and walking around as normal. It hasn’t been that cold here lately, it got down into the 40’s last night. They’re all about 16 weeks old and this one is a California White hen. None of the others have this on their beaks. Thoughts? Thanks!

It dosent look like anything to worry about from what you have said, but I would keep an eye on her for the next few days to see if thier is any change in her health

Thanks! It’s almost like a blister or something by the look of it up close when I held her. I touched it and she didn’t act like it hurt. But there is definitely a divinding line between this spot and the rest of her beak.

My only concern is that it could be fowl pox? But being new to chickens I’m at the mercy of what I read online and what others may suggest on here.

I looked at it closer this afternoon. It looks a little better. Still no change in her behavior really. It looks like the outer layer of her beak was damaged or something?
