Spots and smudges?

The three standards that just hatched all have black marks on their heads. These chicks are at least half buff orp. The other half could be GLW, SLW or buff orp. Has anyone ever had pure buff chicks come out with head marks or are these all blends?

they are cute i think they are mixed with BO because i have had chicks mixed with BO and they looked like your do. very cool

They are definitely part BO as the rooster in the big girl coop is a big ol' buff. I'm trying to figure out what mama was. I *think* I pulled only BOxGLW eggs, but those suckers are hard to tell apart!
The dots and smudges are just intriguing. I don't remember any of my original chicks having the head dots. It's interesting that they ALL have them. Weird...
