Spots on side of chickens face

I have a question for you guys.. I'm def a new chicken mom and probably over worried here. I have 6 chickens all girls, got them from tractor supply for our little girl (and me) the first weekend in april, so they'll be 20 weeks soon.

anyways they have the little gill looking spots on the side of their faces. everyone have it and they are on the same spots on each side. I've looked all over the internet and can't find anything about it.

I'm not sure of the breed, but they are white with red combs.

I figured pics would be helpful but I can hardly get them still enough for me to look at it, much less take a pic lol!

I'll google the things you said and see if it looks like what they have.

They sorta have a greenish tint to it, but barely.

So these aren't normal tho? all 6 have them on each "cheek"...

ohh my gosh.. I'm laughing so hard and my husband is giving me a really hard time!!

it is their ears!!

I never thought of that, but in my defense they don't have anything hanging down yet like what i just read said they would...
