spots on toes.

i have 4 barred rock chicks that are about 6 weeks old. three of them have little knots on their knuckles and they peel up easily and have white under them, but this does not appear to be pus of any sort. they act fine but its starting to worry me because ive never seen this before. it does not look like any bumble foot ive seen. i have cleaned some of them and put bandaids on them.

Does it look like scaly leg mites? The mites cause the scales to bump up and get all crusty, but you can't see them. A picture would help?
