Spots?!

My Red Star (Jess) has little black spots on her comb/wattles..... Is that normal? I don't think it is fowl pox, but if someone would put up a picture of what it looks like, I could make sure..

My mom wanted me to ask you if you think mold could grow on them, but they have two windows open at all times...

Probably the most likely is pecking injuries. Fowl pox is carried by mosquitoes. There are plenty of pics of fowl pox on here, and of favus, for that matter, which is a fungal infection sometimes seen on combs.

It can't be fowl pox, as there are no mosquitos here yet.... Hmmm.. Pecking injuries are black?

If they're small black spots, then it could just be dried blood from pecking........
