I wish I could help more, but I just don’t know what more you can do. Hopefully, she can get around well enough to get food and water. It is sad, but many of thiese chicks have to be put down. Some do learn to get along even with a disability.

Thanks for helping a bit, I really appreciate it. She can get around fairly well, so hopefully if this can’t be corrected she can live with itI wish I could help more, but I just don’t know what more you can do. She needs a buddy, bring another chick in?Ive never heard chick make this particular chirp for so longI suppose it's better than before, when it was just distressed chirps.
I have 4 others with her that are about her age(three days or so), and she seems to be chirping less now, but doesn't seem to want to lay/sit down. Most of the time she falls asleep while standing then sinks to the ground. We just put her under a heat lamp rather than in the incubator, so that might be why she's chirping lessShe needs a buddy, bring another chick in?
I tried that, but the problem seems to be that the leg bends slightly outwards rather than forward. the Vet wrap didn't seem to help much, but I'll try it again tomorrow and see if it helps. It just seemed to hinder her walkingYou need to get some VetWrap and take a thin strip and tie it around both legs so they are the correct distance apart.
Just wondering, could this have hurt her? I took of the tape shoes just in case, but if it's ok I'd like to put them back on because her toes are still slightly cured.Could shoes made out of medical tape cause this? She was cold when we found her, but the rest of the chicks in the brooder seemed fine.
