Trying to help a friend figure out if her chicken has bumblefoot or if her knuckle is sprained and swollen. There was no scab like I have seen in the past when one of my birds had BF. It didn't feel fevered, but we did an Epsom soak, sprayed it with microcyn and put neosporin on it and wrapped it up. (As a precaution.) I would just hate to dig in there if it was just a sprained toe.

It looks like the top of the foot has been scuffed. Maybe an injury.
Careful with wrapping a foot too tightly when there's a lot of swelling.

At this point, I see nothing to cut into. I'd wait and see what develops over the next few days. If injured, then the foot/toe may show some indication of green bruising.
