she attempts to keep it up but ultimately it drags. Shoulder and bones aren’t popping out of skin, and also don’t feel deformed to touch. It’s not bending in a place it shouldnt. When we try to stretch it out, she can but winces a little.Big difference between strain and a break, and where the break is also makes a huge difference in prognosis. Can she use/move the wing even if painful? Is the skin broken anywhere? Does it bend in a place or shouldn’t? Cage rest for 3-6 weeks may be enough to heal up a minor break in a young bird. A strain should heal in a week or so. A catastrophic break (bone sticking out of skin) will need antibiotics for 3 weeks and has a poorer prognosis.
