I recently sprayed my yard for weeds and I have not let the chickens out today to run in the yard because I dont want them to get sick eating the weeds i just sprayed. How long do I need to keep them in their run/coop before I can let them run in the yard again?

Most of the weed killer sprays go inert within hours. You would really ave to contact the manufacture. Each one is a little different. Round up for one is fine once it dries. Although I still don't think I would want by girls eating it. That's why I go hickens, so I know what I'm eating.

For weed control:

Use 1 cup of vinegar with 2 Tbsn of salt. Bring vinegar to a boil and then dissolve salt. Spray on a sunny day when no rain is forecasted for the next 2 day. Add lemon juice if you have some. Works just fine.

Avoid all commercial weed killers - they are terrible for the environment. Avoid all fertilizers - they are terrible for the environment.

Give your vanity and the earth a break.
