Got our first egg on the 20th!

Our Silkie is the first. She's been giving us an egg a day since.

I don't know y but my chickens craming into the smaller coop we had them in instead of the more room coop they have now

The 1st 2 are the current coop last 2 are the older coop

We added more roosting areas since the those pics tho

So we recently had a birthday party for our now 5 year old and apparently some donuts got forgotten outside. Came home from work the next day to this. I guess chickens like donuts just as much as the rest of us.

You've got tiny eggs too! Our eggs have started pouring in, but they all look doll sized, lol.

I got my first eggs from one of my late spring chicks this week. So exciting! She's one of my 2 EE- I was hoping one of them would give blue eggs. Can't wait until the others start to lay. I have the other EE, a Barred Plymouth Rock, a Speckled Sussex and a Black Copper Marans. I wanted a colorful egg basket

We are finally getting eggs daily. We have 3 girls laying and 3 that haven't laid yet. Yesterday was our first day getting 3 eggs. We have a leghorn, Easter egged, and our 'mottled java' (I.e. Mystery breed) laying. Still waiting on our Welsummer, black austrolorp, and buckeye.
