Pics
Mine are the same way. So cute. They got tinny tail feathers I love them all ready. Still trying to get them to not be scarred of me I guess it develops over time..
Put some food in your palm and put your hand down in the brooder. That's what I did with mine last year and now even the rooster is ridiculously friendly

Well the coop is smaller than I wanted but it's almost ready. Maybe by the weekend. My babies are about 5-6 weeks old. The pic on my avatar is 2 of them at 2 wks. Is it ok to feed them raw veggies yet? I've noticed a couple of them pecking on each other. Should I be concerned?

My chicks will not eat out of my hand. A few have become curious and pecked once or twice at my fingers when I hold my food-filled palm very still. Otherwise they won't eat until I sprinkle it on the floor of the brooder for them to peck at. Oh well, I'll keep trying.

Chickens start establishing their pecking order around 6 weeks of age. However, if they're crowded they can also start turning into little cannibals.

I recommend digging up a small patch of grass AND dirt (important) and putting it in the brooder starting at 2 weeks. This allows the chicks to eat fresh greens, insects, and natural grit. Also it gives them a chance to do some serious scratching. Most importantly, it exposes them to a small dose of coccidia and helps them develop immunity (this IS important to do with medicated feeds too).
