Spring batch update

Update on the spring batch chicks, all 11 chicks are about 4 months old and are growing fast. I have one to a family member and now am left with 4 roosters and 6 hens. Will sell the hen now and the roosters later.

So you're getting out of the chicken biz?

Not getting out, just keeping the flock under control. I live in the city and can't go over board on the number of chicken.

I have to do the same thing. I live in a neighborhood. I love my back yard chickens. I hatch, so I rotate them out. I keep a couple that I have fallen in love with as pets. I love getting the eggs on a regular basis when I rotate my layers.

Yeah I keep my favorites and the hens are usually the ones to keep for a couple of years. I'll stay with the main rooster until the end.
