Do I need to bring mud boots? Our yard is still mucky and will be for a while.

Looks like a back door front will come down Sunday. So much for temps in the 60s. Around 50 and mostly cloudy isn't too bad though, could be worse. Tomorrow will still be warm, good weather for giving some chickies a bath! I'm sure they'll be thrilled.

We're near the Concord River and that hasn't gone down at all. Bunch of homes are still flooded there.

Luckily the local pond that empties into the Concord has gone down some so my last open road into town won't end up closed too. Next weekend's forecast doesn't look too helpful unfortunately!

Ahh you must be close to me. The Concord river runs thru my yard....so it looks like a lovely lake

Thank you!!

Hopefully the water will be down by this weekend, we are flooded really bad. I have had to use a front end loader just to get to my house! Brought the lady up the street 10 bags of grain for her 36 horses because we can't get a truck in ( Firedept told her it wasn't an emergency that her horses have no food, we have been stranded on an island since Tuesday!) . Its been a mess! So keep your fingers crossed for no more rain after this weekend too, or my poor girls will have to grow gills!!

Ohhhhh i am so sorry to hear that.

A lady names Ein will be here selling = 6 dominique pullet chicks and 6 cuckoo marans pullet chicks I would like to bring to the stock to sell. I also have handmade jewelry

Any suggestions on how to keep babies warm? I'm thinking of bringing some little midget white poults, but am not sure it'll be safe for them if it's going to be in the 40s.

Tell me about it! If it were my barn I would have called the news. The sad part about it all is, there is a total of 11 houses that are completely stranded, on an island basically with no way in or out except by boat or in our case we have been using our front end loader from my father's excavation company and have been helping people out.

I didn't really think about the fact that, NO ONE has come to see if any of us are okay. The poor lady with the 36 horses, is just her and her 2 little kids, her husband is in Afganistan and we have been helping her 2 employees get in when we can. She asked the firedept why no one has come to check on anyone here, and they said they came around and knocked on everyone's door. Well out of the 11 houses, I have talked to 6, and none of them had anyone come visit them!
