Spring Chicken Feeder, NOT Recommended, Mold Issues

This may work well for different kinds of feed, but for standard chicken pellets or crumble, its a fail.
Crumble, as expected, is just too fine to work well in a spring system, so I tried Pellets.
The spring seems to release more pellets from the top than the bottom, and after two weeks there was about 2 inches of hard moldy pellet clump at the bottom of the spring.
My chickens are now back to only using their Amazon Bucket Feeder which works much better.
