I've been reading on sprouting and I'm trying to determine if a Gourmet Bean Blend I have on hand for making soup would be ok to sprout for my chickens. It contains the following:

French Navy Beans, Pinto Beans, Yellow Eye Steuben, Black Turtle Beans, Small Red Beans, Split Yellow Peas, Split Green Peas, and Green Lentils.

Guess I'm trying to determine mainly if the Beans are safe, I thought I read somewhere that beans weren't safe, but then in other threads I have read it is ok to sprout whatever we feel like sprouting. I also bought some hard red wheat berries for sprouting but found the chickens like eating it as is for a treat so I haven't sprouted it yet.

Raw or undercooked beans can be toxic. I'm not sure how it affects chickens, but seems like a bad idea.
Here is some information:

No, they are just dry split peas from the bulk bins at the grocery store. They will sell you a whole bag if you ask.

Great! I know exactly where the bulk bins are, I didn't realize they would sell you the bag they use to refill the bulk bins with! That is awesome!
