Sprouting Seeds ~ Do You Do It?

Most feed stores, pet stores, and home improvement stores carry them for wild birds. They are high in protein and a great treat for chickens. Don't feed them too many though, as they are high in fat and can contribute to fatty liver disease.
Thank you very much. I just got back for my local Tractor Supply Store and got some!!

But Boss is something you can do alone??? Never done this its my first attempt....LOL I have a bag of BOSS and nothing else right now.
Yes, they enjoy BOSS anyway they can get them. You can give just BOSS, if you would like or mix it with other grains, sprouted or not.

Only in the winter months.i let my flock out to free range in the evenings during summer.so they do get the greens they need.this past winter I ordered organic alfalfa seed.and I had several sprouters going.i was able to give them fresh greens on a daily basis.

I have a silly question...I bought a bag of plain bird seed from Tractor Supply for my bird feeders at my new house. The squirrels quickly mutilated the feeders, and I have given up on trying to keep bird feeders around. Anyways, can I just sprout the bird seed that I have in small batches for my girls? How do you sprout things, or are there any good threads on how to sprout?

thanks!
