I have experimented with raising several different breeds but after all of the different birds I've had my Barred Rocks are by far my favorite. Mine are hatchery birds but I love their sweet personalities and I would love to start developing a really nice SQ flock. Unfortunately I feel like all of the chicks and hatching eggs I've seen are from hatchery quality birds. Does anyone know of some good breeders that could provide SQ chicks or eggs? It would be awesome to find one in western Washington as I've had super bad luck with shipped eggs but I'm willing to take the risk for some really nice quality birds.
