SQ Egg Swap

Even though it was said once no paypal. I have no problem with it especially when it is slow. But I really think since it is the SQ swap it should be a mnimum of $20. from now on. what does everyone else think??

This week I sold several settings of eggs on eBay. Not one closed at less than $30 for 6 eggs. On the crazy egg swap, where mixed breed and hatchery source eggs are swapped, $10 or 20 is okay. But it cost us more than $10 to ship the eggs. Less than $30 for SQ eggs is an insult.

but $20 is better than $10.

I also have an issue with "anything on my swap page" being posted. Its an egg swap, not a clothing swap. There are swaps for that.

With the time of year and birds molting, pullets not yet laying, we should allow more time for each swap.

First offer should be a breed/variety that is in the Standard of Perfection or Bantam Standard. Additional offers could be any other poultry eggs. Taking someone's offer of Show Quality hatching eggs, then offing eggs that are not in the Standards is not in tone with a Show Quality swap.

6 Smooth & Frizzle Serama Eggs: My serama's are seperated by colors. I have Frizzle pens also with Frizzle roo over smooth hens and Smooth roo over frizzle Hens.

Have more pics of more breeding stock but this is to give you an idea.

I think I will leave that up to you since you are the thread starter. But I think that would be fair. I didn't Pm the person about the PP, cause I wasn't sure if it was allowed so I waited to see if something was said first.

I'm not the thread starter, Just putting in my input. I just think when it is slow this might keep it going. and could be dropped when it picks up. I just thought the PP offered should be higher since we are talking SQ.

$10 PayPal does not even pay the shipping, let alone the value of any eggs swapped. it is an insult to even offer such a low dollar amount.

I agree with everyone else about paypal being higher. I think paypal is fine as long as it is slow but Paypal should be atleast $20 if not higher. What do you all think is a good price?

I'm in it for the eggs, not the paypal. I can afford the shipping & i tend to recycle packaging. what i can't afford to do is give someone money for a swap of eggs... if i could afford that I'd just go ahead and BUY the eggs directly. if you all want to just swap paypal addresses that's fine, but if i join a swap it's to get eggs offered, and to pass along more eggs. so i guess if it's going to be a matter of offering paypal on every slow swap, then i'll just bow out and let you all have it.

I think most of us is in it for the eggs. If you have eggs to offer you wouldn't have to offer paypal. It would just be the people with no eggs to offer. I would as soon leave paypal out , but alot of people seem to like it. I'm ok either way, I just think if paypal is going to be allowed it should be a $20 min. or more
