I just fell off the bandwagon for turkey eggs. I can't pass turkey eggs, because I truely am an addict for them. But, I'm doing well otherwise, I even passed chipmunk chicks at TSC, lol. I have over 15 dozen eggs to come, so there isn't a chance to feel withdrawal, LOL!
Betta! You Turkey Hoarder you!

No doubt! Plus you will have eggs! I really want to get some more turkeys. I just need to build a turkey pen first.

Hubby keeps telling me we cannot have any free range turkeys. Says TN will charge us a fine (large fine at that) if any wild birds take up with our flock. I have not done any research about it yet.

Trust me, wild turkeys aren't joining your flock. The wild toms might call your hens out for a wild night on the pasture, but the hens come back and the toms disappear.

Ha. Eggs first, pen later. I plan to let everyone range together until next spring.

My tom sleeps in the tree's, the hen sleeps in with the chickens unless it is really nice out then she goes to the trees

I don't let anyone sleep out. Over the summer, some chicken hens stayed out unless it was rainy, then I'd collect them up for bed. I'm just paranoid about turkeys, probably because I have so few and have become very attached.

Pidgey- roo and 2 hens are 100% and 1 hen is 75%

Thanks guys for letting me know that I am not a thread killer.

Gablebabble- we had turkeys in the past. They free ranged, we live in TN, no wild turkeys came to visit and we live in the sticks!
