squat for 3 weeks and no eggs?!

How old is she? My breeder quality welsummers don't start laying until after 24 weeks.

She is a hatchery girl and about 24 weeks.
When she first started squatting we thought she will lay in a few days but nothing for almost 3 weeks, very red wattle and comb.

Should be anytime now. She may take a bit longer with less daylight.

I agree. I had one that was nearly 30 weeks before she started laying.

She has two little friends that grew up together, an Australorp who is ginormous and started squatting a few days ago, also red wattle comb and an EE, who looks and acts like a little kid still.
I was afraid new pullets won't lay in the dead winter. It's not cold here but the days are pretty short.
