15-16 week old duck has started to squat like our chickens. Does that mean she'll start laying soon?

If by squat, you mean she is laying flat on the grass with her neck stretched out, yes, she should start laying soon.

Today we got the answer she laid an egg! Small and thin, but it's our first duck egg! Good job Sallie!
