Squeak/bark/sneeze noise with gaping

Hi all. I discovered my 9 month old bantam Polish is sort of standing/sitting around today and lifting her neck up and gaping her mouth every few moments. Then periodically she’ll leg out a squeak/bark/sneeze noise. No nasal or eye discharge I can tell. Crop feels empty. I can’t feel an egg anywhere. Not sure if she has actually started laying yet.

Have you picked her up and examined her carefully? Feel her throat for something caught in the esophagus. Pry open her beak and check for something stuck in the back of her throat in front of her airway. Also, check in her ears for signs of crust clogging and swelling.

Feel her crop for over - fullness. These symptoms can be a symptom of a crop disorder. If you find her crop alarmingly full, check it again first thing in the morning to see if it remains full. If so, she will need treatment for a crop issue.
