"Squeakers" doing her squawk throughout the day

So the story here is that we lost about 8 chickens one night when I broke my truck and didnt get home in time to close the coop before dark. Coyotes (most likely) raided the coop, feathers everywhere, parts everywhere, even lost our big rooster who was super cool.

Anyways, since then, she's had a rough/scratchy voice. Eventually she got it back, and this is what she's sounded like since then. It's been 6-7 months and is otherwise healthy and normal. She hasnt shown any signs of any other health issues. Wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience

It took a little while to process, but this is just normal nature stuff whether we like it or not. I was most upset about losing our rooster, he was a great companion, very curious and friendly, tended to the flock well

I know it’s nature and that we should interfere as less as possible but we already do by locking our flock safely inside at night.

Thank you. Have 2 pullets (one of which is probably a roo), 4 that are a week or 2 old, and one that is about a month or so. Plus the 3 adults. It's tough to have just a few

You're sure that's a pullet, yes? I just ask because our 3 young cockerels who are trying to learn to crow sound sort of like this, only not as loud.

Can you do an auto door? I love mine. It can run on batteries or plug in, and there's another version that's solar, so there are ways around not having electric in the coop.

I'm sure. She and her recently expired sister both used to lay eggs. That is a good point, but she has gone from having a quiet/scratchy voice to this. I dont think she's unhappy, and not really anything else wrong with her

Looks like some slight respiratory distress, like she's got something 'stuck in her throat'.
Did it start immediately after the attack.....or.....?
Does she do it all the time or just once in while?
Maybe her neck was injured?
