I have Cream Legbars, a new to US breed with some genetic issues. My best rooster, the cleanest dirty shirt, has squirrel tail. I plan to cross him with hens from a different source (direct from Greenfire, Rees line) that don't seem to have this deficit. What can I expect? For example, is this a dominate trait that all the offspring will have or is it a trait where there will be variance in the offspring and I can select some that do not have this trait in future breeding progress.

sorry I just found this thread but if a bird has any genetic problems it is not usually advised to use that bird in a breeding program.
