Squirrels

We don't have digger squirrels here but do have pocket gophers. They make mounds everywhere

This is someone else's property as an example. We do trap them but we still get a few mounds but not like the picture but I'm sure our property would look like it if we didn't trap them. One gopher will make several mounds.

I am building my new coops and run in the middle of an orchard that is infested with squirrels, gophers, rats, mice, moles etc.. the coops are secure for all those threats plus coyotes, at least when they are locked in at night. All of those nasties in a semi rural area of San Diego county CA. Oh forgot hawks, owls, possums, weasels, and raccoons.LOL.

I trap gophers but they repopulate over a few months because my neighbors don,t. The squirrels are worse, take a lot of fruit and damage smaller branches and foleage. Air guns for those. Now if I could create a chicken breed that kills and eats those pests I could be a billionaire.
