Two of three Cemani chicks from hatch have large squishy bumps on the back of their necks. Otherwise healthy. They are 4 days old. What could this be? I would think and access or tumor but what is the likelihood that 2/3 would have the same thing? Never seen this before.

Looks like it's their crop. See if the lump goes down overnight after they have been sleeping.
That thought entered my mind too but this is on the back of their neck. Can the crop move around under the skin and shift that far?

I would not expect the crop to move that far, but chickens are weird sometimes so I cannot be entirely sure.

Can you find the crop on the front of the neck, in the usual place?
If you cannot find the crop anywhere else, then maybe your chick has an unusually moveable crop.
But if you find the crop and also the strange bump, then you know the bump is not the crop.
